Is the translation enough, or is legalisation needed?
A certified translation makes the document readable for the recipient. It does not by itself make the document valid in another country — that usually requires legalisation, a chain of stamps confirming the signatures are genuine.
If the receiving country is party to the Hague Convention an apostille is normally enough. If it is not, the document needs a notary public, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and then the embassy instead.
