Long-stay visa for Thailand – age 50+
Often called the retirement visa — but you do not have to be retired, only over 50. Three visas let you live in Thailand, and which one fits comes down to how long you intend to stay and what you can document financially. We handle the whole application — your passport stays with you.

Common questions
Do I have to be over 50?▾
Yes — all three. Non-Immigrant O, O-A and O-X each require you to have turned 50 at the time of application.
How long does it take?▾
Embassy processing times vary, so we do not publish an estimate we cannot stand behind — you get a timeframe once we have reviewed your application. What you control takes longest: the medical certificate, police record and insurance form often take several weeks to obtain, and must be in hand before the application is submitted.
Do I need to send in my passport?▾
No. The application is digital, so your passport stays with you.
What if my insurer refuses to complete the embassy form?▾
That is common. Their own certificate is normally accepted, but it must explicitly state that Covid-19 related treatment is covered up to at least USD 100,000.
Can I extend the visa in Thailand?▾
O-A can be extended annually locally, O-X for a further five years. Non-Immigrant O is normally extended a year at a time at the immigration office.
What does the price include?▾
The embassy fee and our handling of the whole application. You pay separately for the medical certificate, police record and insurance, as those are issued in your name.
