What you need to know about Philippines visa

The Philippines grants Swedish citizens 30 visa-free days for tourism. For longer stays, work or retirement a visa from the Philippine Embassy in Stockholm (Storgatan 6) is required.

Since 2023, eTravel registration is MANDATORY for ALL travellers — including visa-free visitors. Complete a short online form 72 hours before entry to receive a QR code shown at immigration. It is not a visa but it must be done.

For retirement, the SRRV (Special Resident Retiree's Visa) is the Philippines' most popular long-term visa globally — lifetime residency with deposit from $10,000 USD. One of Asia's most accessible retirement programs.

Visa-free 30 days — eTravel still required

Swedish citizens can stay in the Philippines for 30 days without a visa. BUT you still must register in the eTravel system 72h before entry. Need to stay longer — visa extension on-site costs ~3,000 PHP, or apply for a 9(a) visa in advance.
