Do Swedish citizens need a visa for Australia?
Yes, you need an electronic travel authority before departure – an ETA (subclass 601) or eVisitor (subclass 651). Both are applied for online and are usually granted quickly.
What is the difference between ETA and eVisitor?
Both are valid for 12 months with stays of up to 3 months per visit. eVisitor is free for EU and several other European citizens and you apply yourself via ImmiAccount. The ETA is applied for in Australia's app, which reads the passport chip and takes a photo of you. We handle the ETA application for you.
How long does it take to get an ETA for Australia?
ETA is usually granted within 24 hours, often much faster. We recommend applying at least one week before departure.
Can I work with an ETA in Australia?
No. The ETA covers tourism and business visits such as meetings, conferences and trade fairs – not work. For work, you need a separate work visa.
